After completing a fellowship program at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic Foundation, he achieved board certifications in anesthesiology and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Thiesen's distinguished career features an associate professorship at Brown University, establishing the Southcoast Cardiac Anesthesia group in 2002, and heading the cardiac anesthesia department at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
